Unit 22 Gym Membership Terms and Conditions
Please carefully read these rules and conditions of membership before you complete and return the membership application. They are legal and, for insurance purposes, binding.
1) Any person wishing to become a member of Unit 22 gymnasium must complete a membership application form and return it to a Coach at Unit 22 along with the specified membership fee.
2) The Management reserves the right to reject any application for membership without giving a reason for doing so. In these cases, the full membership fee will be refunded immediately.
3) Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building.
4) Memberships are not transferable.
5) All membership benefits will cease and be withdrawn in the case of late or non-payment. Re-use of the facility will then be at the discretion of Unit 22 Management and subject to new member prices in the event of a re-application.
6) The Management shall determine the membership fees. These may vary at the Management’s discretion.
7) Membership may be withdrawn at any time without notice at the sole discretion of the Management.
8) Any person under the age of 18 will be admitted to the gymnasium only at the Management’s discretion.
9) All members shall observe any directions of Unit 22 staff and all rules, conditions and regulations that are displayed within the facility.
10) The Management shall be entitled without prior notice to vary opening and closing times. Individual facilities may be closed at anytime for any period due to repairs, alterations or maintenance at the Management’s discretion. There shall be no refund of the membership fee for any variation in the facilities availability.
11) The Management employs staff to run the facility but supervision of each area is not possible at all times. Therefore, the Management does not accept liability for any person’s accident, injury or misadventure. The Management requires all users to ensure their health and physical condition is such as not to involve any risk to him or herself or any other person using the gymnasium and reserves the right to require the withdrawal, from any facility, of any person who may be considered to constitute a risk. Members must exercise due care in particular when using the facilities and/or equipment.
12) The Management will not be responsible for any loss or damage to property of members, however caused.
13) Members must wear suitable gymnasium clothing and footwear at all times whilst on the premises. Jean-type clothing and open toe sandals or flips flops are not acceptable on the gymnasium floor.
14) Unit 22 does not accept any form of threatening or abusive behaviour towards members, guests or staff.
15) It is the member’s responsibility to inform of any change of contact/address details or change in health and physical condition.
16) Members are required to provide written notification to Management in advance of any cessation of membership.
17) Individuals who cease and restart membership will be required to pay any new prices in force at that time unless provided with a special written dispensation by Unit 22 Management.
18) Upon signing the membership form, the member will accept and be bound by the above conditions relating to membership. The purpose of the terms, conditions and rules are to ensure, at all times, the well-being and enjoyment of all users.
19) There is a two week cooling off period for annual memberships. During this time a member can request a refund but not after this period of time. The refund will take into account any class attendance payments during the two week period.
